Cardiovascular Disease

CVD Proteomic Research Tools

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a medical term that comprehensively describes a range of disorders of the heart and/or blood vessels. These disorders differ markedly in physical implications, time-scale of development, and relative contributory effects of genes and environment. Largely due to this breadth, and their causes and effects, the diversity of investigation, assessment, and treatment strategies available is large. The heterogeneity of diseases, disease processes, and genetic differences between individuals could obscure disease associations in terms of the molecular and proteomic signatures of each disorder. Thus, a panel of independent disease-related proteins considered together should be less prone to this noise and help provide a much more robust analysis and indication of disease. Assessing multiple proteins, instead of one, increases the odds of finding useful disease associations and effective panels. A combination of current proteomics strategies can help narrow down a number of candidate proteins, which can then be combined for assessment. RayBiotech offers a wide range of proteomics technologies, tools, and products to advance your cardiovascular disease research.
