Results are read by eye within 30 minutes without the need for an expensive PCR instrument. The sensitivity is as low as 25 copies/µl of the virus. For increased stability, this kit contains reagents to reduce DNA carry-over contamination. It is also the only pH-independent kit on the market.
RayBiotech's COVID-19 1-Step High Throughput PCR Kit utilizes the RT-PCR (reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction) method for the in vitro detection of SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid in saliva or nasal swab samples. The unique 1-Step Nucleic Acid Stabilization Buffer preps crude saliva or nasal swabs for use directly in the PCR reaction, without laborious RNA extraction steps. The sensitivity of this assay can detect as few as 4 copies/µL of SARS-CoV-2 virus. Only needing the green channel, this PCR kit can be used with a wide range of PCR instruments.
