This product detects a band of approximately 80kDa in A431cell lysates
This product specifically recognizes human ABCB5 (ATP-binding cassette sub-family B member 5), a P-glycoprotein and member of the conserved ABC transporter family, which acts as an energy-dependent efflux transporter for rhodamine.
ABCB5 is primarily expressed by skin progenitor cells and shown to act as a regulator of cell fusion and determinant of membrane potential. Studies have revealed the expression of ABCB5 in human malignant melanoma tumours, and in particular its association with CD133+ stem cell phenotype-expressing cells.
Store at +4 °C or at -20 °C if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
If stored in this manner, this product is stable for 18 months after receipt.
