Protein Name & Synonyms:
Immunohistology - Paraffin, Western Blotting
This product specifically recognizes an epitope within the N-terminal (NT) region of Adiponectin Receptor protein 1 (AdipoR1), a highly conserved and ubiquitously expressed integral membrane protein and member of the ADIPOR family, which acts a receptor for the adipocyte-secreted antidiabetic hormone adiponectin (APM1).
AdipoR1 is implicated in metabolic pathways, mediating increased fatty acid oxidation and glucose uptake by adiponectin. The expression of AdipoR1 in adipose tissue is decreased in obese humans, whilst weight loss results in increased expression.
This product is reported as suitable for use in immunocytochemistry of acetone fixed cells.
Store at -20 °C only.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
If stored in this manner, this product is stable for 18 months after receipt.
