Protein Name & Synonyms:
Immunohistology - Frozen, ELISA (dilution: , 1/1000), Immunohistology - Paraffin, Western Blotting
This product specifically recognizes an epitope within the N-terminal (NT) region of human CD195, otherwise known as CCR5 (C-C chemokine receptor type 5), a transmembrane glycoprotein and member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family, preferentially expressed by a subset of memory Th1 (type 1 helper T) cells.
CD195 acts as a high-affinity receptor for several chemotactic chemokines, including MIP-1 alpha (macrophage inflammatory protein 1 alpha), MIP-1 beta, and RANTES (regulated on activation normal T expressed and secreted protein). CD195 is also a major co-receptor for HIV-1 infection, with variations in the CD195 gene, influencing the rate of progression into AIDS.
This product is reported as suitable for use in immunocytochemistry on human peripheral blood leucocytes.
Store at -20 °C only.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
If stored in this manner, this product is stable for 18 months after receipt.
