Preparation:
Antiserum to human CD318 (CT) was raised by repeated immunisation of goats with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.

This product detects a band of approximately 90kDa in human colon cell lysates.
Specificity
This product specifically recognizes an epitope within the C-terminal (CT) region of isoform 1 of human CD318, otherwise known as CDCP1 (CUB domain-containing protein 1), a novel type I transmembrane protein expressed on the surface of hematopoietic stem cell subsets, epithelial cells and breast carcinoma, and up-regulated in metastatic lung and colorectal tumours.
Studies have shown the expression of CD318 on CD34+CD133+ leukaemic blasts from patients with AML (acute myeloid leukaemia) and CML (chronic myeloid leukaemia), suggesting a role for CD318 as a novel leukaemic diagnostic marker.

Storage/Stability
Store at +4 °C or at -20 °C if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
If stored in this manner, this product is stable for 18 months after receipt.
