This product detects a band of approximately 55-60kDa in human liver lysate.

Specificity

This product detects an epitope within the N-terminal (NT) region of formiminotransferase cyclodeaminase (FTCD), also known as 58K Golgi protein. FTCD is a homo-octameric bifunctional enzyme which plays important roles in coupling histidine catabolism with folate metabolism, and integrating the Golgi complex with the vimentin intermediate filament cytoskeleton.

FTCD is present in all mammalian cells either free in the cytosol or tightly bound to the Golgi complex, and is most abundant in the liver. FTCD is linked to two human diseases, autoimmune hepatitis and glutamate formiminotransferase deficiency.

Storage/Stability

Store at +4 °C or at -20 °C if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
If stored in this manner, this product is stable for 18 months after receipt.
