This product detects a band of approximately 80-85kDa in A431 cell lysates. A minimum incubation time of 1 hour is recommended with this antibody.
This product recognizes an epitope within the C-terminal (CT) region of signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3), an 80-85 kDa member of the STAT protein family, which plays an important role in cell growth, survival differentiation and transformation, transducing signals from cytokine receptors to the nucleus.
STAT3 is phosphorylated in response to cytokines and growth factors including interleukin-5, interleukin-6, epidermal growth factor and leukaemia inhibitory factor. It is expressed in the heart, brain, placenta, lung, liver, skeletal muscle, kidney and pancreas.
Store at +4 °C or at -20 °C if preferred.
This product should be stored undiluted.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
If stored in this manner, this product is stable for 18 months after receipt.
