The major histocompatibility complex (MHC) is a cluster of genes that are important in the immune response to infections. In humans, this complex is referred to as the human leukocyte antigen (HLA) region. There are 3 major MHC class I proteins encoded by the HLA which are HLA A, HLA B and HLA C. These proteins are found on the surface of almost all nucleated somatic cells.
This product recognizes an antigenic determinant shared among products of the HLA A, B and C loci. This antibody recognizes a conformational epitope, reacting with HLA class I alpha3 and alpha2 domains, see Ishitani, A. et al. for details.
This product is routinely tested in flow cytometry on human peripheral blood lymphocytes.
Store at +4 °C or at -20 °C if preferred.
This product should be stored undiluted.
Storage in frost free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
If stored in this manner, this product is stable for 18 months after receipt.
