Protein Name & Synonyms:
ELISA (dilution: 1/500, 1/1000), Western Blotting
This product detects a band of approximately 38 kDa in human A549 (lung carcinoma) cell lysates.
This product specifically recognizes human LYVE-1, otherwise known as hyaluronic acid receptor, a type I integral membrane glycoprotein and member of the Link protein superfamily, expressed on the cell surface of both normal and neoplastic lymphatic endothelial cells, which acts a major receptor for the glycosaminoglycan hyaluronan (HA) in both its soluble and immobilized forms.
The binding of LYVE-1 to HA on lymph vessel walls and not to the endothelium of blood vessels, makes LYVE-1 a powerful marker for the identification of lymphatic endothelial cells, and for distinguishing between lymphatic vessels and blood vasculature.
Store at +4 °C or at -20 °C if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
If stored in this manner, this product is stable for 18 months after receipt.
