This product reacts with cardiac and skeletal troponin I. It is specific for an epitope between amino acids 186-192 of cardiac troponin I.Troponin I is 1 of 3 subunits that constitute the troponin complex which plays an important role in the regulation of skeletal and cardiac muscle contraction. It is presented in cardiac tissue by a single isoform with a molecular weight of 29 kDa and is known as a specific marker for cardiac tissue damage.
Store at +4 °C or at -20 °C if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
If stored in this manner, this product is stable for 18 months after receipt.
