The major histocompatibility complex (MHC) is a cluster of genes that are important in the immune response to infections. In mice, this complex is referred to as the histocompatibility 2 (H-2) region.
This product recognizes a monomorphic epitope present on murine MHC class I molecules, which are expressed at varying levels on the majority of nucleated cells. The epitope recognized by This product is conformation dependent and is reported to be phylogenetically conserved.
Reactivity has been observed with some canine samples suggesting that this antibody may recognize a polymorphic epitope of canine MHC class I.
Store at +4 °C or at -20 °C if preferred.
This product should be stored undiluted.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product is photosensitive and should be protected from light.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
If stored in this manner, this product is stable for 18 months after receipt.
