Specificity

This product is specific for the porcine CD5 cell surface antigen, which is expressed by porcine T lymphocytes.

In pigs, CD5 can be used to distinguish between NK cells (CD4- CD8+ CD5-) and MHC-restricted cytotoxic T cells (CD4- CD8+ CD5+).

The epitope recognized by This product designated CD5a at the Second International Swine Workshop, see Pescovitz, M. D. et al. for details.

Storage/Stability

Store at +4 °C or at -20 °C if preferred.

This product should be stored undiluted.

Storage in frost free freezers is not recommended. This product is photosensitive and should be protected from light.

Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
If stored in this manner, this product is stable for 18 months after receipt.
