This product detects a band of approximately 68kDa in rat cortex lysate.
This product recognizes neurofilament L (NF-L), the most abundant of the three nurofilament proteins (NF-H, NF-M and NF-L). Neurofilaments are 10nm or intermediate filaments found specifically in neurons, with especially high concentrations along the axons, where they appear to control axonal diameter. Defects in NF-L are the cause of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease types 1F and 2E, characterised by loss of muscle tissue and touch sensation.
Store at +4 °C or at -20 °C if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
If stored in this manner, this product is stable for 18 months after receipt.
