This product recognizes reticular elements in the T cell areas and B cell follicles of spleen, lymph nodes, Peyers patches, bronchus and gut associated lymphoid tissues (BALT and GALT). In the thymus a reticular pattern is observed throughout the cortex capsule, the medulla is negative. In non-lymphoid organs positivity is seen only in reticular elements of the small intestine. No staining of liver, lung, skin, kidney, brain, pancreas or heart is seen.
Biochemical analysis has revealed that this antibody recognizes complement factor C3. in vivo studies have shown that this antibody blocks immune complex trapping on follicular dendritic cells.
Store at +4 °C or at -20 °C if preferred.
This product should be stored undiluted.
Storage in frost free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
If stored in this manner, this product is stable for 18 months after receipt.
