Antigen Catalog Number:
230-00013
Applications:
ELISA (recommended work dilution= 1: 80,000), Western Blotting (recommended work dilution= to be defined)
Preparation:
Immunogen was a recombinant protein of human enterovirus 71-VP1 expressed in E.Coli. This antibody was produced from a rabbit immunized with the immunogen. The IgG fraction was purified from rabbit serum followed by Protein A/G affinity chromatography.
Reconstitution:
Supplied as lyophilized and purified antibody originally containing PBS, without Preservative Stabilizers, such as Sodium Azide. The final concentration is indicated on the shipping vial. The antibody is stable for at least years from the data of receipt when stored at -20°C to -70°C. Reconstituted antibody (recommended with H20 1 mg/ml) can also be aliquoted and stored frozen at -20°C to -70°C in a manual defrost freezer for months without detectable loss activity. Upon reconstitution, the antibody can be stored at 4°C for 1 month. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Enterovirus 71 (EV-71) is notable as one of the major causative agents for hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD), and is sometimes associated with severe central nervous system diseases. To date, little is known about the molecular mechanisms of host response to EV71 infection, but increases in the level of mRNAs encoding chemokines, proteins involved in protein degradation, complement proteins, and proapoptotis proteins have been implicated.
The rabbit anti-enterovirus 71-VP1 antibody specifically detected target derived from human enterovirus 71-VP1 recombinant protein. The fine specificity to viral protein was not defined.
Store at -20°C, if not intended for use within a month, keep it at 4°C and minimize freezing and thawing when use.
