This product detects a band of approximately 155kDa in SW1353 cell lysates.
This product recognizes human ASK1 (Apoptosis signal-regulating kinase 1) a 155kDa protein belonging to the protein kinase superfamily.
ASK1 is a serine/threonine kinase, also known as MAP kinase kinase kinase (MAPKKK), and plays an important role in the apoptotic response to various stimuli including oxidative stress, cytokines (e.g. TNF) and endoplasmic reticulum stress. Akt in conjunction to Hsp90 phosphorylates ASK1 at Ser83 to inhibit ASK1 induced apoptosis.
ASK1 is widely expressed in a variety of human tissues including the heart and pancreas.
Store at +4 °C or at -20 °C if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
If stored in this manner, this product is stable for 18 months after receipt.
