This product detects a band of approximately 55kDa in human spleen cell lysates (predicted Mwt. 41kDa)
This product recognizes human CD193, otherwise known as CC chemokine receptor 3 (CCR3), a seven-helix transmembrane G-protein coupled receptor which, along with CCR5 and CXCR4, acts as a principal receptor for the fusion and entry of HIV into target cells. CD193 is expressed by eosinophils, basophils, mast cells, microglia, Th2 helper cells and some epithelial cells.
CD193 acts as a receptor for several CC chemokines including monocyte chemoattractant proteins (MCP) -1, -2, -3 and -4, MIP-1a, MIP-1Ã❏, and RANTES. The eotaxin subgroup of CC chemokines act as specific agonists for CD193, and this interaction has become a focus area for studies into the infection of microglia by HIV (He, J. et al.) and also allergy research (Holse, M. et al.).
Store at +4 °C or at -20 °C if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
If stored in this manner, this product is stable for 18 months after receipt.
