This product recognizes human Death Domain-Associated Protein 6, a novel Fas binding protein that has been designated DAXX.
DAXX binds specifically to the death domain of Fas and enhances Fas induced apoptosis and activates the Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) pathway.
DAXX is predominantly a nuclear protein, where it acts as a repressor of EtsI and Pax3 transactivation. When in association with ASK1 kinase DAXX translocates from the nucleus to the cytoplasm.
Store at +4 °C or at -20 °C if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
If stored in this manner, this product is stable for 18 months after receipt.
