This product is specific for the Glucose 5 transporter, also known as GLUT5, that catalyses the uptake of D-fructose into cells. This 55 kDa protein is expressed in the plasma membrane and is found mainly in intestinal tissue, kidney, and spermatozoa. Increased intestinal levels of GLUT5 are seen in type 2 diabetes.
Store at +4 °C or at -20 °C if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
If stored in this manner, this product is stable for 18 months after receipt.
