This product is specific for human KGF (keratinocyte growth factor), a member of the fibroblast growth factor family, which acts as a potent mitogen of epithelial cells, predominantly of keratinocyte origin.
KGF is secreted by fibroblasts in response to stimulation from inflammatory mediators, including IL-1 beta and PDGF-BB (platelet-derived growth factor B), and binds specifically to a splice variant of the FGF receptor 2 (FGFR2-IIIb), known as the KGF receptor.
Prior to reconstitution store at +4 °C.
After reconstitution store at -20 °C.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
If stored in this manner, this product is stable for 12 months after receipt.
