This product detects an epitope within the N-terminal (NT) region of Protein kinase C zeta (PKCz), a 70kD member of the PKC family of serine/threonine kinases. PKCz is a member of the atypical PKC subfamily and has been widely implicated in the regulation of many cellular functions. PKCz activation is involved in the mitogen-activated protein kinase cascade, transcriptional factor NFkB activation, ribosomal S6-protein kinase signalling, and cell polarity.
PKC zeta may be a potential therapeutic target in asthma, and may have a putative role in other pulmonary diseases, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and lung cancer.
Store at +4 °C or at -20 °C if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
If stored in this manner, this product is stable for 18 months after receipt.
