This product detects a band of approximately 68kDa in skeletal muscle tissue lysate.
This product recognizes src homology 2 domain containing tyrosine phosphatase (SHP2), a 68 kDa member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase family. SHP2 acts downstream of growth factor receptors and cytoplasmic protein tyrosine kinases which transduce signals from cell surface to the nucleus. The recruitment and activation of SHP2 is mediated through the binding of CD172a to its ligand CD47.SHP2 regulates a variety of cellular processes. These include transcription, embryonic development, cell growth, cell migration, differentiation, mitotic cycle, hematopoiesis and oncogenic transformation. As a result, dysregulation of the SHP2 gene has been linked to LEOPARD, Noonan and Noonan-like syndrome as well as acute myeloid leukaemia. SHP2 is ubiquitously expressed, with highest levels found in heart, brain, and skeletal muscle.
Store at +4 °C or at -20 °C if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
If stored in this manner, this product is stable for 18 months after receipt.
