This product is specific for human tumour necrosis factor beta (TNF-beta), also known as lymphotoxin alpha (LT-alpha), an 18.6kDa homotrimeric polypeptide secreted by activated T and B lymphocytes, which binds to the TNF receptors TNFR1, TNFR2 and HVEM (herpes virus entry mediator receptor).
TNF-beta was originally isolated due to its cytotoxic effects on tumour cells, and has since been identified as a regulator of many cellular processes and a potent mediator of inflammation and immune responses against invading pathogens.
Prior to reconstitution store at +4 °C. Following reconstitution store at -20 °C.
This product should be stored undiluted.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
If stored in this manner, this product is stable for 12 months after receipt.
