This product detects an epitope within the internal region (IN) of human Wnt2b, also known as Wnt13. Wnt2b is a signalling factor which acts as a ligand for members of the frizzled family of seven transmembrane receptors. It is thought to play a key role during mammalian early embryogenesis, and may also function as a stem cell factor for neural and retinal progenitor cells.
The Wnt2b gene encodes two alternative transcript variants; Wnt2B splicing variant 1 encodes secreted-type glycoprotein (Wnt2B isoform 1), while Wnt2B splicing variant 2 encodes a transmembrane-type glycoprotein (Wnt2B isoform 2).
Wnt2b has been implicated in gastric cancer, esophageal cancer and skin basal cell carcinoma.
Store at +4 °C or at -20 °C if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
If stored in this manner, this product is stable for 18 months after receipt.
