Protein Name & Synonyms:
PLC gamma 2
Western blotting (1-4 ug/ml), immunoprecipitation (20 ug/ml), and Immunohistochemistry (20 ug/ml). However, the optimal concentrations should be determined individually. The antibody recognizes 150 kDa PLCg2 in samples from human, mouse, and rat origins. The antibody does not cross-react with PLCg1.
PLC, EC 18.104.22.168 , Phosphoinositide phospholipase C , PLC-gamma-2 , Phospholipase C-gamma-2 , PLC-IV , 1-phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate phosphodiesterase gamma 2
PLC (Phosphoinositide-specific phospholipase C) plays a significant role in transmembrane signaling. Four members of PLCs have been identified: PLCß, PLCg, PLCd, and PLCe. In response to extracellular stimuli (e.g., hormone, growth factors, neurotransmitters), PLC hydrolizes phosphatidylinositol 4,5-biphosphate (PIP2) into two secondary messengers: inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate (IP3) and diacylglycerol (DAG). PLCg2 is engaged in antigen-dependent signaling in B-cells and collagen-dependent signaling in platelets.
Synthetic peptide near the C-terminus of human PLCg2
100 µg (0.5 mg/ml) peptide affinity purified rabbit polyclonal antibody in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA, and 0.02% thimerosal.
