This product detects a band of approximately 60kDa in A431 cell lysates.

Specificity

This product recognizes Human RIP2 (Receptor-interacting kinase 2), a 61.2kDa cytoplasmic protein belonging to the protein kinase superfamily.

RIP2, known also as RICK and CARDIAK, is a novel kinase that regulates TNF and Fas induced-apoptosis and is involved in the generation of the pro-inflammatory cytokine IL-1beta.

Over expression of RIP2 has been shown to induce apoptosis, and the activation of NF-Kappa-B and JNK. RIP2 is widely expressed in a range of human tissues.

Storage/Stability

Store at +4 °C or at -20 °C if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
If stored in this manner, this product is stable for 18 months after receipt.
