Specificity

This product specifically recognizes recombinant proteins containing the Vesicular Stomatitis Virus Glycoprotein (VSV-G) epitope tag. Epitope tags are short peptide sequences that can be attached to proteins from all species, and do not affect the protein❏'s biochemical properties.

VSV is a member of the Rhabdoviridae family, and consists of a single RNA molecule that encodes five proteins, one of which is a surface glycoprotein (G). G is a type I membrane glycoprotein and is responsible for viral binding to cell surface receptors and initiating the infectious process.

Storage/Stability

Store at +4 °C or at -20 °C if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
If stored in this manner, this product is stable for 18 months after receipt.
