Protein Name & Synonyms:
AID
Applications:
ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Immunohistology - Paraffin, Western Blotting
Species Reactivity:
Human
This product specifically recognizes human AID (Activation-induced cytidine deaminase), a 24kDa RNA-editing enzyme essential for the initiation of immunoglobulin class switch recombination (CSR), somatic hypermutation (SHM) and gene conversion (GC).
Studies suggest that AID is selectively expressed by germinal center (GC) B cells and B cell-derived lymphomas, and that a deficiency in AID is responsible for the autosomal recessive form of the immunodeficient condition Hyper-IgM syndrome.
Store at +4 °C or at -20 °C if preferred.
This product should be stored undiluted.
Storage in frost free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
