Protein Name & Synonyms:
CD43
Applications:
Immunohistology - Frozen, Flow Cytometry, Immunoprecipitation, Western Blotting
Species Reactivity:
Mouse
This product recognizes mouse CD43, one of the major glycoproteins of thymocytes and T lymphocytes. It has a high content of sialic acid and O-linked carbohydrate groups. CD43 presents carbohydrate lligands to selectins, plays a role in lectin binding and is a counter receptor for Siglec-1.
CD43 is expressed on T lymphocytes in two predominant glycoforms. In its 115kDa form it is a pan T cell marker, whereas in its 130kDa form it is associated with T cell activation. This antibody recognizes the 130kDa glycoform.
Store at +4 °C or at -20 °C if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
If stored in this manner, this product is stable for 18 months after receipt.
