This product recognizes an isoform of CD45 called CD45RB. CD45 is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family. The PTP proteins are signalling molecules that are involved in a variety of cellular processes including cell growth, differentiation, mitosis and oncogenesis. CD45 is an essential regulator of T- and B-cell antigen receptor signalling.
CD45 has various isoforms generated by different splicing of exons. This antibody recognizes CD45RB, generated by exon 5 splicing. This 220kDa glycoprotein is expressed on peripheral B-cells, naïve T-cells, thymocytes, macrophages and dendritic cells.
Store at +4 °C or at -20 °C if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
If stored in this manner, this product is stable for 18 months after receipt.
