This product recognizes murine CD71, a 200kD antigen which is otherwise known as transferrin receptor. CD71 is expressed by all proliferating cell populations and exists as a homodimer at the cell surface.
This product inhibits iron uptake and cell proliferation but does not compete with transferrin for binding to its receptor, which suggests that This product binds to an epitope that is different from the transferrin-binding site, see Leenen, P.J.M. et al. for details.
Store at -20 °C only.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
If stored in this manner, this product is stable for 18 months after receipt.
