This antibody recognizes the murine antigen ER-HR3. ER-HR3 is a cell surface antigen which is expressed by Langerhans cells in epithelium, a subset of mature macrophages and dendritic cells that are located predominantly in hematopoietic and lymphoid organs. Initial studies of ER-HR3 demonstrated expression on peripheral blood monocytes but recent studies suggest that expression is actually very low.
During fetal development, ER-HR3 positive cells are localised to hemapoietic islands and are often associated with erythroid progenitor cells. The functions of the ER-HR3 antigen have not been established but reports suggest that the antigen may be involved in adult erythropoiesis and in the regulation of the immune response.
This product does not inhibit T cell proliferation in antigen-specific T-cell proliferation studies.
This product recognizes two proteins of approximately 69kD and 55kD under non-reducing conditions.
Store at +4 °C or at -20 °C if preferred.
This product should be stored undiluted.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
If stored in this manner, this product is stable for 18 months after receipt.
