Applications:
ELISA (recommended work dilution= 1: 1,000-2,000), Western Blotting (recommended work dilution= 1~5 µg/mL), Dot Blotting(recommended work dilution= 1~5 µg/mL). Anti-Myc Tag Antibody Applications: Immunoassay (ELISA, Western blotting)(recommended work dilution= 1:2,000-1:5,000)
Preparation:
Antigen: Botulinum Neurotoxin Type C, ToxoidGeneration: Human recombinant antibody to Toxin C was expressed in E. coli and purified using NiNTA affinity chromatography. The antibody is tagged with a myc-tag (EQKLI SEEDL) and a his-tag (HHHHHH) at the C-terminus of the antibody heavy chain. Purification: Metal chelate affinity chromatography
Reconstitution:
Supplied as 50 µg of purified antibody. Already reconstituted with sterile PBS for direct use.
Species Reactivity:
RB-05-0003 specifically detects Toxin C as determined from testing bacterial samples in Dot Blot and ELISA assays.
Clostridium botulinum is a Gram-positive, rod shaped bacterium that produces the neurotoxin botulin, which causes the flaccid muscular paralysis seen in botulism, and is also the main paralytic agent in botox. It is an anaerobic spore-former, which produces oval, subterminal endospores and is commonly found in soil. It is an obligate anaerobe, meaning that oxygen is poisonous to the cells. Since 1953 all species producing the botulinum neurotoxins (types A-H) have been identified from C. botulinum. The neurotoxins produced by the eight types of Clostridium botulinum act primarily at the neuromuscular junction and cause the syndrome botulism, which is frequently a fatal condition in humans and animals.
