Recombinant human FGF8 is an
E. coli-derived protein corresponding to amino acids 23-215 of
human fibroblast growth factor 8. FGF8 is a secreted peptide that promotes cell growth in an autocrine manner.
The peptide sequence contains an initiator methionine at the N-terminus and is homologous to the murine, canine and bovine sequences.
DS-01-0115 has an ED
50 of <0.5ng/ml as determined by dose-dependent thymidine uptake in BaF3 cells expressing FGF receptors.
Storage/Stability
Prior to reconstitution store at +4°C. Following reconstitution store at -20°C.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the protein. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use. This protein may be stored for3 months from date of reconstitution.
