This product recognizes Thyroxine, also known as T4, the major hormone secreted by the follicular cells of the thyroid gland. Thyroxine's main role is to regulate metabolic processes in the body such as heart rate, along with Triiodothyronine (T3). T4 is involved in thyroid disorders, such as hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism.
This product shows minimal reactivity with T3 (approximately 0.2%)
Store at +4 °C or at -20 °C if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
If stored in this manner, this product is stable for 18 months after receipt.
