Description

The Streptavidin-Biotin interaction is the strongest known non-covalent bond in nature, with a Kd of ≈10-19. This interaction has been used for a variety of applications including immuno assays, affinity purification, nanoparticle assembly, as well as a variety of other applications. RayBiotech Streptavidin Coated Plates are capable of binding ≈5pMol of biotin per well and are supplied in clear 8-well strip-in-frame format.

Applications

RayBiotech Streptavidin Coated Plates are recommended for capturing biotinylated proteins for down stream assay development, although small molecule-biotin conjugates can also be captured as well.

Directions For Use

Depending on the application the plates are used for, the concentration and incubation times will vary and will require independent validation by the customer. However, some recommendations for initial experiments are provided.

For small molecule capture, it is recommended to use a 100nM solution of the biotin conjugate and incubate for 3 hours with agitation at room temperature.

For biotinylated antibodies or proteins, it is recommended to use a 10µg/mL solution and incubate for 3 hours with agitation at room temperature, or overnight at 4ᵒC.

Storage

Store at 4ᵒC for up to 6 months.
