CD106 is a single chain type I glycoprotein which is primarily expressed on activated vascular endothelial cells. Expression on activated endothelial cells can be induced by inflammatory stimuli and cytokines which releases soluble forms of CD106 that are detectable in blood. CD106 binds to integrins to contribute to leukocyte adhesion, transmigration, and co-stimulation of T cell proliferation.

Each lot of antibody has been tested by flow cytometry staining. Researchers are recommended to further titrate this antibody at the optimal concentration for each specific application.
