Introduction

Sahai (1983) demonstrated phosphate-activated glutaminase (EC 3.5.1.2) in human platelets. It is the major enzyme yielding glutamate from glutamine. Significance of the enzyme derives from its possible implication in behavior disturbances in which glutamate acts as a neurotransmitter(Prusiner, 1981). High heritability of platelet glutaminase was indicated by studies of Sahai and Vogel (1983) [PubMed 6682827] who found an intraclass correlation coefficient of 0.96 for monozygotic twins and 0.53 for dizygotic twins.

	Western blot analysis of lysates from 293, 293T, Hela cell line , huamn brain and mouse brain tissue lysate (from left to right), using GLS Antibody (C-term)(Cat# 102-18038). 102-18038 was diluted at 1:1000 at each lane. A goat anti-rabbit IgG H&L(HRP) at 1:5000 dilution was used as the secondary antibody. Lysates at 35ug per lane.
	Western blot analysis of GLS Antibody (C-term) (Cat# 102-18038) in mouse liver tissue lysates (35ug/lane). GLS (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.
	GLS Antibody (C-term) (Cat# 102-18038) IHC analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded mouse brain tissue followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of the GLS Antibody (C-term) for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.
