Human PBMCs were stained with either RayBright® Blue 488 Anti-Human CD14 (#136-14043, solid line), or mouse IgG isotype control (dashed line). Monocytes were gated.
Description
CD14, a 53-55 kD glycoprotein is expressed at high level on monocytes and macrophages, and at lower level at neutrophils, interfollicular macrophages, reticular dendritic cells and some Langerhans cells. CD14 is bacteria LPS receptor, and also acts as a co-receptor (along with the Toll-like receptor TLR 4 and plays a role in the clearance of gram-negative pathogens and modulates host immune response to those pathogens.
Recommended Usage
Each lot of antibody has been tested by flow cytometry staining. Researchers are recommended to further titrate this antibody at the optimal concentration for each specific application.
