Description
CD38, a 45 kD type II transmembrane glycoprotein, is an ADP-ribosyl hydrolase expressed at variable levels on hematopoietic cells. In humans, it is highly expressed on hematopoietic cells including early B and T cell lineages, activated B and T cells, NK cells, monocytes, and dendritic cells. CD38 functions as signaling channel which leads to cellular activation and proliferation. CD38 also plays a role as an ectoenzyme with various functions as well as an inducer of Ca2+ mobilization from cytoplasmic stores, and modulate immune cell activation and proliferation.
Recommended Usage
Each lot of antibody has been tested by flow cytometry staining. We suggest use ≤ 0.5 µg per million cells in 100 µl volume of staining buffer. Researchers are recommended to further titrate this antibody at the optimal concentration for each specific application.
