Description
CD62L antigen, a 74 kDa glycoprotein and a member of the selectin family, also known as L-selectin, LECAM-1, or LAM-1, is a cell adhesion molecule found on most peripheral blood B cells, subsets of T and NK cells, monocytes, granulocytes, and certain hematopoietic malignant cells. CD62L binds a series of glycoproteins including CD34, GlyCAM-1, and MAdCAM-1 and is important for homing of naive lymphocytes via endothelial venules to peripheral lymph nodes and Peyer€™s patches. The CD62L antigen also contributes to the recruitment of leukocytes from the blood to areas of inflammation. Naive T cells and central memory T cells express high level of CD62L. CD62L is downregulated in activated T cells and effector memory T cells. High expression of CD62L on human bone marrow progenitor cells is an early sign of cells becoming committed to lymphoid differentiation.
Recommended Usage
Each lot of antibody has been tested by flow cytometry staining. We suggest use ≤ 0.5 µg per million cells in 100 µl volume of staining buffer. Researchers are recommended to further titrate this antibody at the optimal concentration for each specific application.
