Description

Introduction

INA is a class-IV neuronal intermediate filament that is able to self-assemble. It is involved in the morphogenesis of neurons. It may form an independent structural network without the involvement of other neurofilaments or it may cooperate with NF-L to form the filamentous backbone to which NF-M and NF-H attach to form the cross-bridges.

Western blot analysis of INA (arrow) using rabbit polyclonal INA Antibody (Center) (Cat# 102-16725). 293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected with the INA gene (Lane 2) (Origene Technologies).
Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human brain tissue reacted with INA antibody (Center) (Cat# 102-16725), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.
