Immunogen
Immunogen was a synthetic peptide derived from Near C-terminus of Drosophila Neuropeptide F Receptor. This antibody was produced from a rabbit immunized with the immunogen. The IgG fraction was purified from rabbit serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation, and followed by Protein A/G affinity chromatography.

Description

Description

Drosophila has similar signaling system as other species do. The system consists of neurons expressing neuropeptide F (NPF) and its receptor, NPFR. NPF has high homolog with mammalian neuropeptide Y. The receptor belongs to the G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) superfamily. To date, some forty GPCRs are categorized as neuropeptide GPCRs in Drosophila, and about two-thirds of these receptors have been “deorphanized”.

Storage / Stability

The antibody is stable for at least 1 year from the date of receipt when stored at -20°C to -70°C. Reconstituted antibody can also be aliquotted and stored at 4°C for 1 month or at -20°C to -70°C in a manual defrost freezer for many months without detectable loss activity. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Specificity

The rabbit anti-Drosophila Neuropeptide F Receptor antibody showed a strong binding to synthetic immunogen. Its binding activity to native protein and cross reactivity with the target derived from other species has not yet been tested.
