Description

Description

Toll like receptor 2 (TLR2) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the TLR2 gene. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the Toll-like receptor (TLR) family, which are signaling molecules that recognize different microbial products during infection and serve as an important link between the innate and adaptive immune responses. They recognize pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) that are expressed on infectious agents, and mediate the production of cytokines necessary for the development of effective immunity. The various TLRs exhibit different patterns of expression. This gene is expressed most abundantly in peripheral blood leukocytes, and mediates host response to Gram-positive bacteria and yeast via stimulation of NF-κB.

Storage

The antibody is stable for at least 1 year from the date of receipt when stored at -20°C to -70°C. Reconstituted antibody can also be aliquotted and stored at 4°C for 1 month or at -20°C to -70°C in a manual defrost freezer for many months without detectable loss activity. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Expiration:
12 months from the date of shipment when stored properly.
