Creatine phosphokinase, also known as creatine kinase (CK), is an enzyme expressed by various tissues and cell types. CK catalyses the conversion of creatine and consumes adenosine triphosphate (ATP) to create phosphocreatine and adenosine diphosphate (ADP). In cells, the "cytosolic" CK enzymes consist of two subunits, which can be either B (brain type) or M (muscle type).

The antibody is stable for at least 1 year from the date of receipt when stored at -20°C to -70°C. Reconstituted antibody can also be aliquotted and stored at 4°C for 1 month or at -20°C to -70°C in a manual defrost freezer for many months without detectable loss activity. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

The antibody specifically binds to human CKB Cross reactivity with mouse and rat were not tested.
