Specificity
This product is specific for the porcine CD169 cell surface antigen, also known as sialoadhesin, which is expressed by subsets of cells of the macrophage/ monocyte cell lineage. CD169 is preferentially expressed on cells in the late stages of maturation. It is expressed strongly on alveolar and tissue macrophages, but weakly on blood monocytes.
Storage/Stability
Store at +4 °C or at -20 °C if preferred.
This product should be stored undiluted.
Storage in frost free freezers is not recommended. This product is photosensitive and should be protected from light.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
If stored in this manner, this product is stable for 18 months after receipt.
