CD133 is a 150kD pentaspan glycoprotein with 5 transmembrane domains. It is a surface antigen for several different types of stem cells including endothelial progenitor cells, hematopoietic stem cells, glioblastomas, and glial stem cells. CD133 is found on both normal tissue as well as cancerous cells including some leukemia cells and brain tumor cells. CD133 is best understood to be a stem cell marker for both normal and cancerous cells.

Each lot of antibody has been tested by flow cytometry staining. We suggest use ≤ 0.5 µg per million cells in 100 µl volume of staining buffer. Researchers are recommended to further titrate this antibody at the optimal concentration for each specific application.

Keep the lyophilized antibodies at -20 °C. Once reconstituted with PBS, store at 2 °C - 8 °C for less than 3 weeks or freeze at -20°C for long term storage. Please limit freeze and thaw cycles.
