NK1.1 surface antigen is encoded by the NKR-P1B/NKR-P1C gene. Also named KLRB1 protein, NKR-P1A or CD161 is classified as a type II membrane protein. NK1.1 is expressed by natural killer cells and a subset of T cells in the mouse strains C57BL/6, FVB/N, and NZB but is not present in the mouse strains AKR, BALB/c, CBA/J, C3H, DBA/1, DBA/2, NOD, SJL, and 129. NK cells play an important role in anti-tumor immunity and allograft rejection after bone marrow transplantation. Dendritic cells present tumor antigen to NK cells through CD1d molecules.

Each lot of antibody has been tested by flow cytometry staining. We suggest use ≤ 0.5 µg per million cells in 100 µl volume of staining buffer. Researchers are recommended to further titrate this antibody at the optimal concentration for each specific application.

Keep the lyophilized antibodies at -20 °C. Once reconstituted with PBS, store at 2 °C - 8 °C for less than 3 weeks or freeze at -20°C for long term storage. Please limit freeze and thaw cycles.
