Anti-3 X Flag Antibody

3-Flag peptide has found widespread use as a mild purification reagent for Flag-epitope tagged recombinant proteins. Ability to bind heavy metals was a significant finding. 3x FLAG epitope is hydrophilic, 22-amino-acids long and can detect up to 10 fmol of expressed fusion protein. FLAG-tag can be removed by treatment with enterokinase, which is specific for the five C-terminal amino acids of the peptide sequence5.

The antibody is stable for at least 1 year from the date of receipt when stored at -20°C to -70°C. Reconstituted antibody can also be aliquotted and stored at 4°C for 1 month or at -20°C to -70°C in a manual defrost freezer for many months without detectable loss activity.
